Thinking about life at Lakeside Residential Park? We’ve put together answers to the questions we’re asked most often, covering everything from pitch fees and running costs to pets, gardens and getting settled in. What is the monthly pitch fee, and what does it cover?

The monthly pitch fee covers the stationing of your park home. The fee depends on the location of your home and is reviewed on 1st April every year.

Are there any additional charges (water, electricity, maintenance)?

Additional charges include:

Water
Electricity (every home has a sub meter), the standard charge is based on the number of residents
Gas bottles (residents buy these direct from the supplier)
Council tax (Band A)
BT fibre connection to your home for internet and phone
Gate service which covers the parks electric gates
Fishing in the park lakes is charged at the daily rate
Any extras or upgrades you order from the park home manufacturer

Is there a minimum age requirement to live at Lakeside Residential Park?

The site licence requires all residents to be 40+ years old.

Are there any communal facilities or organised activities for residents?

Residents can make full use of the park lakes and walks.

Can residents fish in the lakes, and are there any charges or rules?

Residents can fish in the lakes, which will be charged at the daily rate.

How long does it take from reservation to being able to move in?

This depends on many things such as, how long you take to order your park home, if you have a house to sell etc. Once you’ve paid your 12 month reservation fee your plot will be held and the price agreed for your park home will be locked in for that period of time.

Can my friends and family visit?

Yes, friends and family can visit whenever you like.

Do the homes have their own garden?

Each home has the minimum space required for a garden. Some plots have bigger spaces for gardens. We can help you find the right plot for the space you want. We always have special offers on, for example if you want a shed.

Can we keep pets?

Pets are allowed, but the type of pet must be on the approved list. Contact us for more details.

What comes with the park home as standard?

The Turnkey price includes:

Bricking in your park home
Steps to front and back doors
Hand rails (if required)
Perimeter path
Turf/Gravel
Fencing

Paving and decking are not included.

Do homes have Broadband?

Each home has ducting for fibre optic cables. Once you’re ready you can book BT to add the cables to your home for broadband internet. Please note this is an extra charge from BT.
